If you’ve been watching Foambid from the sidelines — or you’ve just started your 7-day free trial — you probably have questions. And you’re not alone.

We’ve rounded up the most common questions we hear from contractors, app testers, and folks in groups like Spray Foam World Wide to give you real, no-nonsense answers. Whether you're wondering about pricing, platform availability, data security, or accuracy — it’s all right here.

Let’s dive in.

❓ What devices can I download Foambid on?

Right now, Foambid is available exclusively on the Apple iPhone through the App Store. We’ve optimized it for mobile because most contractors are quoting jobs right from the field.

❓ Will there be an Android version?

ree

Yes — the Android version is in development. It’s a major priority for us, but we don’t have a release date just yet. If you’re on Android, stay tuned — you’re not being left behind.

❓ Will there be a desktop version?

Yes — but this one’s a little different.

We’re building a separate "Foambid Pro" desktop experience designed specifically for estimators, office teams, or GC’s managing large-scale or multi-room spray foam projects. This version will handle even more complexity than the mobile app, but it's still in early development.

❓ Will Foambid support more complex structures?

Absolutely. In fact, we release new roof types and structure styles regularly — everything from Gambrel to Monitor-style roofs is already live. And we’re not stopping there.

Complexity is a feature, not a problem. If there’s a structure you think we should support, shoot us a message — we’re listening.

❓ How much does Foambid cost?

Foambid is a paid service and is available via Apple’s in-app subscription system:

  • $39.99/month, or

  • $399.99/year (save $80)

Both plans include a 7-day free trial, no strings attached.

There’s no difference in features between monthly and yearly — pick whatever fits your cash flow.

❓ Is there a free version?

No. Foambid is built for pros. We’ve deliberately avoided offering a watered-down free version that cuts corners or limits accuracy. You get the full power of the app — or nothing at all.

❓ Can I share my subscription with multiple users?

Not at this time. A single Foambid subscription is tied to one Apple ID.

However, we’re actively exploring a future Enterprise tier that would allow multiple estimators or field reps to share projects within a company account. If that’s something you need, let us know — it helps us prioritize.

❓ Is Foambid a good app for new contractors?

Yes — especially if you want to start off with clean, professional estimates that account for yield loss, labor, square footage, fire protection, and product cost right out of the gate.

Even if you’re just learning the ropes, Foambid helps you price jobs like a seasoned pro. It doesn’t just give you a total — it walks you through every cost factor step-by-step.

You’ll learn while you quote.

❓ How do I cancel my subscription?

Because Foambid uses Apple’s secure in-app purchase system, all billing and cancellations are handled through your Apple account. You can cancel anytime via:

Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Foambid > Cancel

Once canceled, you’ll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

❓ What of my data is utilized and for what purpose?

We collect only the data required to power the app, and never sell or share your data with third parties.

Here’s what we use and why:

  • Project Data (your job estimates)Stored securely to allow you to save, edit, and duplicate past bids. This data is only accessible to you.

  • User Account InfoYour name and email are used for login, support, and syncing your saved projects across devices.

  • Device & Crash LogsWe collect anonymized crash data to improve performance and fix bugs — especially helpful on older devices or during edge-case scenarios.

We do not access your contacts, photos, location, or microphone. Ever.

❓ Is my information secure?

ree

Yes. Your project data is stored using encrypted connections and secure cloud storage, and is only accessible through your own Apple account.

We never sell, share, or use your data for advertising. There are no hidden analytics tracking what you do. Every saved bid is yours and yours alone.

You can delete your saved projects or account data at any time, and we’ll never retain anything without your consent.

❓ How can I be sure Foambid is accurate?

We get it — if you’re putting your business name on a bid, it better be tight.

Foambid uses a multi-layered system called Accuracy Guard. This includes:

  • Real-time geometry checks

  • Yield loss calculators (for substrate, environment, and foam type)

  • Dynamic board-foot pricing

  • Error-proof inputs (gambrel? no problem.)

  • Labor and fire protection costing

And everything is backed by your saved defaults, so the numbers reflect how you spray.

Accuracy Guard doesn’t just run in the background — it actively warns you when your inputs don’t match known production realities.

❓ Where is Foambid based?

ree

Foambid is proudly built in the USA, headquartered in Nebraska — by a spray foam contractor, for spray foam contractors.

This isn’t some Silicon Valley startup guessing what our trade needs. It’s field-built, job-tested, and contractor-owned.

❓ Are the Foambid estimates guaranteed?

No estimating tool — not even one built on rocket math — can guarantee job costs. There are too many real-world variables: wind, humidity, crew experience, site prep, substrate type, mix temps… you know the drill.

What Foambid does guarantee is this:You’ll never forget a cost input, fudge your board feet, or underbid by accident again.

And for pros who know their material and labor workflows, that’s the margin-making difference.

❓ Can I include other insulation types in a Foambid besides spray foam?

While Foambid is built specifically for SPF (Spray Polyurethane Foam), you can include other insulation types (e.g. fiberglass, cellulose, mineral wool) using the "Additional Expenses" section on the Pricing page.

This lets you manually enter custom charges (like R-30 batts or blown-in attic fill), and Foambid will include them in your job’s total price.

❓ What happens if I break or lose my phone?

No worries. If your phone is broken or lost, just download Foambid on your new device, log in with the same Apple ID, and all your saved projects and settings will restore automatically.

Your subscription, saved estimates, and product defaults follow your account — not your phone.

❓ Why can’t I add more client info into Foambid?

Because Foambid isn’t a CRM — and that’s by design.

We built Foambid to help contractors price jobs accurately, not manage leads, invoices, or follow-up sequences. That’s a different tool for a different purpose.

We integrate with your workflow — not replace it.

❓ Are there video walkthroughs of the app?

Yes. You can watch step-by-step video tutorials on our official Foambid YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@Foambid

You’ll also find them inside the app under: Settings > Tutorials

These short walkthroughs cover everything from setting up your foam products to running your first bid — no fluff, just the good stuff.

❓ How do I contact Foambid?

Have a question, feature request, or something not working right?

Shoot us an email at contact@foambid.co. We aim to respond within 1 business day.

If you’re already a subscriber, you can also tap "Contact" right inside the app settings to reach us directly.

❓ What countries is Foambid available in?

Currently, Foambid is only available in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the UK.

That said — Foambid is designed in U.S. units (feet, inches, board feet, USD), so it’s currently most useful for North American contractors. We’re exploring metric support for future versions.

❓ Is there support for different languages?

Not at this time. Foambid is currently available in English only, with U.S. units of measurement and currency. International expansion (including metric and multi-language support) is on the roadmap.

❓ How can I stay up to date with Foambid updates?

Two easy ways:

  1. Subscribe on the homepage at foambid.co — we send out occasional updates when major features drop.

  2. Follow us on Facebook — we post new blog articles, version updates, and sneak peeks of what’s coming next.
